Colorful veggie sticks to go in serving cups with hummus for dipping

Load up your appetizer platter this holiday season with colorful veggie sticks to go. Friends can continue their conversations without crowding the kitchen or buffet table. I make the hummus a day ahead, or pick it up on your grocery run.  Arrange a fun combination of crispy vegetables to fill the little serving cups.

  • 24 disposable serving cups (5.5-ounce size)
  • 10-ounce container of hummus or prepare from the hummus recipe link above
  • 3 carrots, peeled, quartered and cut into 4 inch lengths
  • 3 ribs of celery, peeled quartered and cut into 4 inch lengths
  • red bell pepper, sliced into 4 inch sticks
  • 24 green beans, blanched
  • jicama, peeled and sliced into ½ inch sticks



Prepare the hummus


Assemble the veggie cups on a tray


Spoon 2 tablespoons of hummus into the bottom of each cup


Divide the vegetable sticks evenly amongst the cups
